PETA group at Mac?
Hey, I was just wondering if Mac already has a PETA group? We are one of the most, or THE most vegan/vegetarian friendly University, and I know I saw many people at Bridges last year... But I don't see any threads relating to this topic and I can't find anything on the internet. If anyone knows, help me out! Also it'd be great to get contact info for the founder of the group if there is one. Thanks in advance!

Thankfully no.

There's an animal rights group that is less extreme and a Mac Veggie club run through OPIRG though.

You can find out more about [email protected] (the animal rights group Lij mentioned) here. You can find out a bit more about the Mac Veggie club here.

Also, yay for more vegetarians!

No offense, but why "Thankfully no"? Yes they're extreme, but it's all in good heart I think... I've always found PETA a little off putting, but I've never quite understood why a lot of people despise their efforts so much. Just wondering!

I personally don't like extremists, I believe in "Everything in Moderation". But everyone is entitled to their own views and opinion, so I don't bother much with these things. As long as they aren't getting in the way of my life, I'm content.
