Philosophy 2B03?
I read the review for the course, and it seems like a split opinion. Does anyone know if this will be an interesting class?

Also, the prof is Dr. Arthur, is he good?

It's a good class, really interesting. It's just tricky Steven. I've never had Dr. Arthur before.. wait.. no I think I did but I dropped his class.. or was that someone else.. wait no.. I'll get back to you on that.

I personally loved the course, though Dr. Arthur is totally boring during class.

There is no real textbook, but a courseware that he wrote, so there won't be a discrepancy between what's in the textbook and what he teaches. The courseware will teach you everything you need to know, but Dr. Arthur does examples in class that will really help you visualize the answer and the steps required to solve it. Oh also, it's best to do the practise questions. They help a lot.

There are mini assignments from the courseware that the TA will mark as well. For the most part they are easy, but there is always one "challenging" question designed to make you think.

There are quizzes every other week that focus on what you've learned the week before, and near the end of term he'll do a make up test (or two) and drop the lowest quiz mark.

The exam was basically a very long quiz and if you understood and remembered all the "rules", you can apply them to any question, so that was easy.

I'd recommend this course if you loved doing trigonometric identities back in highschool or if you love things that are logical and have a step by step solution to them.

Overall, if you find trig identities easy and lots of fun to solve, then yes, take the course!
