No, it's not a substitute for 1B03.
Many science students need to take physics 1B03 and 1BB3/1BA3 (1B03 is a prereq).
They cannot do that, as a prerequisite physics 1B03 is High school gr12 physics OR PHYSICS 1L03. And a prerequisite for Physics 1L03 is only high school gr12 calc.
Having taken physics 1L03 you can't take physics 1BB3/1BA3, so it's not a substitute for those who need 1B03 and 1BB3/1BA3 for their courses or program. So those without high school physics have no choice but to take 1L03 to fulfill the prerequisite to take physics 1B03
That's the way I see it, am I missing something dondata?
