I remember the prof saying to read Chapter 1 of the textbook, it just talks about sig figs, scientific notation and si units and such. I found the first chapter online. I feeling like reading that is the most you can do!

If I remember, it's just suppose to be a diagnostic quiz to get an idea of what you already know. M first PHYS 1L03 quiz wasn't for marks.

we had a diagnostic quiz for physics 1L03 in our first tutorial and it wasn't for marks. Nejat also gave the option to write the same quiz again at the end of the term and if it showed that you improved, you got a bonus mark

I remember having a diagnostic quiz at the beginning of the term, and then the same quiz at the end of the term. It's probably just a participation mark, and helps the prof assess whether we actually learned anything in his course.
That course was a nightmare for me, and I'm probably the only one at Mac who thinks so.

I have the previous edition textbook, does anyone know how it parallels with the new text? I think Dr. Nejat said that ch 1 and 3 are different but I'm not sure. Also, if those two are different, should I hunt down and borrow someone's book for those chapters?
