Places To See Fireworks in Hamilton July 1st!

 
BAYFRONT PARK & PIER 4 PARK

Date: Tuesday, July 1, 2014 (Rain date: July 2)
Canada Day Celebration: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Fireworks: 10:00 p.m.

Enjoy more than ten of Ontario’s finest food trucks serving up Southern BBQ, Greek specialties, vegetarian cuisine, poutine, grilled cheese, tacos, hot dogs and ice cream from 6pm to 11pm. Local entertainers will perform throughout the parks starting at 6pm and includes face painters, balloonists and more! The fireworks display will start at 10:00 pm and will be launched from the north-west point of Bayfront Park. Complimentary HSR shuttle bus starting at 6pm from John Street (just north of King Street) to Pier 4 Park. Download the Free Shuttle schedule (PDF).

AT BAYFRONT PARK THERE WILL BE:
  • Face Painting and Balloonists 6:00pm-10:00pm
  • Trulee Odd Show (Roaming the park) 6:00-9:00pm
  • Aerial Performances by Hamilton Aerial Group 6:30pm & 8:00pm
  • FREE Secure Bike Parking Service provided by provided by Open Streets Hamilton
  • SoBi Hamilton is the non-profit local operator launching a bike share system later this summer in Hamilton! The system will use 4th generation "smart bike" technology and have 750 bikes at over 100 stations across the city. Members of the SoBi team will be walking around with one of the bikes at the Canada Day event, so come try out the bike and get answers to any questions you may have. AT PIER 4 PARK THERE WILL BE:
  • Face Painting and Balloonists 6:00pm-10:00pm
  • Children’s activities courtesy of the Hamilton Tiger Cats
  • Drop off your non-perishable food donation in support of the Welcome Inn Community Centre’s Emergency Food Bank at the information tents.

No sparklers allowed!

Please call the City’s Special Events Line at 905-546-4646 ON JULY 1 AFTER 8PM to hear if the fireworks have been cancelled. Or follow on Twitter @CityofHamilton or @TourismHamilton

If Canada Day fireworks are cancelled due to unsafe conditions, they will be rescheduled to Wednesday, July 2. Celebration at 6pm. Fireworks 10pm.

In the event of the fireworks cancellation, the free HSR shuttle bus will not be operating on July 2.

Spectators destined to the event if re-scheduled will have the option of using:

Route 99-Downtown Shuttle (free fare, departs from King and Summer’s Lane every 30 minutes)
Route 4-Bayfront (regular fare, departs from James, south of King)
Route 2-Barton (frequent service) would also get spectators to James and Barton, only a short walk away from Bayfront Park.

OAKVILLE BRONTE HERITAGE WATERFRONT PARK

Oakville’s Canada Day
Where: Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Oakville ON.
When: Tuesday, July 1st, 2014
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Join us for this FREE all-day family festival celebrating how proud we are to be Canadian!

This annual Oakville tradition welcomes upwards of 50,000 people celebrating by end of day in Bronte’s gorgeous Heritage Waterfront Park.

Activities will Include:
  • Niagara Inflatables bouncies and fun for kids
  • K-Tel Mini Pop Kids performance
  • Canada Day themed Monster Mural courtesy of RBC
  • Musical performances all day on two stages
  • Bronte Harbour Stage: 11:30 a.m. until the big bang!
  • Cogeco Community Stage: 12:00-6:00 p.m. (featuring local talent and community performances)
  • Beer and Food Garden
  • Bronte Road Food Court featuring local restaurants and food vendors
  • Vendor Village featuring the work of local artisans and products from Bronte Merchants
  • Many other surprises…

Fireworks and Live Simulcast on 95.3 Fresh FM! There will be a spectacular fireworks display at dusk off Bronte pier. Be sure to tune into 95.3 Fresh FM for the full fireworks experience, as our fireworks will be set off to an amazing music remix!
