Political Science 2C03

This course is extremely interesting! I took it as a summer course and wish I hadn't. The course dealt topics that I love so much! The main focus was on prisoners and the government. We discussed types of people who were more likely to be prisoners based on gender, ethnic background, age, race, family, and so on. We learned about surveillance and privacy so if you're paranoid maybe this course will be detrimental. It can really scare the crap out of you! Apparently, everything you do is monitored, yay! My professor was a PHD student but he was awesome! Dr. Flynn is really passionate about what he speaks of and made night class far more enjoyable (I hate night classes). He wasn't one of those dull and bored professors. We were given two tests and a take home exam. The tests were purely content driven so most people did well. Personally, I'm an application sort of girl so I tend to struggle when asked to base it purely on content. I'm horrible at memorizing. Nevertheless, the course was really interesting and I highly recommend it. Then again, I think most people take it anyway based on the course name alone.

I took this class Winter 2017 with Dr. Greg Flynn. Overall, I liked this class. It takes a critical look at Canada's justice system and any class taught by Dr. Flynn is guaranteed to be a good class. Assessments were a mix of tutorial participation, a big research paper, some optional reflection papers, and a final exam.
