Pop?
Anyone know what the McMaster email mail server information is? I want to hook up the email to my ipod touch. I need the incoming and outgoing mail server address.

Thanks!

It's an IMAP server. You can try the Outlook instructions here: http://www.mcmaster.ca/uts/help/outlunivm.htm

Keep in mind some settings may be different. Those instructions are for Outlook 2002 so may have to adapt the settings for your iPod.

Actually those instructions are for Univmail (grad and staff). Use muss.cis.mcmaster.ca as your servers.

Hey Danny thanks for the link, but it seems like the mail server address no longer works "univmail.cis.mcmaste r.ca" :(

Try using muss.cis.mcmaster.ca. The UnivMail server is for staff and grads mostly. Undergrads use muss (cos we're awesome)

If I were you i'd just forward your mussmail to your hotmail or gmail, and then have that connected to your iphone via IMAP or POP3.

You can do so by logging into mussmail, clicking RULES, scrolling to the bottom, checking off the checkbox to forward all mail to... type in your email, and click save.

Alireza, Lauren.7, stevennn all say thanks to Chad for this post.

just wondering why you suggest forwarding instead of IMAP access? it seems to me that it would be about the same thing, are there any reasons forwarding is better?
