Ohhh I get it.. Yeah, I'm scared of that one course that drags your whole CGPA down ... so sad. and somewhat unfair.. but...
And 35 people a year.. as in.. out of the 20 000 that go to McMaster =O?!

Yeah, getting 12 GPA is hard... You have to get a 12 in 30units!!!! That's ridiculous! How can you be good in everything?! HOWWWWW!!!!???? Lol

When you think about it.. it's a 90%.. in high school.. that was easy.. but university.. I can't tell till the first 2 weeks of school

Some classes are easy to attain a 12, it's just a matter of commitment. Lol

To put it into perspective:

Getting 80% on a final exam worth 50% automatically eliminates you from getting a 12 in the course unless you got 100% on everything else in the course.

So it's a pretty big challenge.

Most students need to work on those skills. Highschool doesn't help you learn them. In fact the opposite happens in highschool since most teachers use deadlines without consequence.

Definitely.. And its not something you can learn either.. You just have to go through it and fail.. ANy suggestions and how to avoid crashing and burning in the first semester?

Avoid choosing partying all night vs. studying for the midterm the next day.

That's basically what gets most people to do bad. Don't study 24/7. Get out, do something. Give your brain a chance to relax and soak up the information. Exercise is a great way to help keep your brain healthy. Just go for 15 minute walks.
