Prelude To Mac
Prelude to Mac
By Chad Fullerton
Student in first year, make sure to take full advantage of a great service being offered by the First Year Experience Office called Prelude To Mac. Prelude is an online, award-winning service that provides organized lnks to all the essential resources on campus that you will find helpful and useful in your first year. Furthermore, there are some excellent videos that cover a variety of topics to do with university life. The most interesting feature is an online forum that has trained upper year students from the FYEO that are available to answer any questions you have. Be sure to go on there to post your questions since they have the official answers. If they don't know an answer, the facilitators have the resources to be able to find the answer to your question quickly. You can read more about the service as FYEO's website (http://fye.mcmaster.ca). If you attended Orientation Day this year, you'll know a lot about the FYEO website since I mentioned it in my presentation. If you haven't been to the site yet, be sure to go there for very helpful advice and tips. Remember, the FYEO is for first year students, they are here to help you!
Check out the FYEO's Prelude To Mac service which is available at http://maclife.mcmaster.ca/prelude/
