Problems with accessibility?
Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you have come across any issues or concerns with accessibility at Mac?
Any comments, thoughts, opinions are appreciated!

Accessibility like wheelchairs?

I know for sure there might be some issues if you're trying to bus. Can't get on if it's mostly full

Can you be more specific? Are you referring to physical accessibility or do you mean more in terms of accommodating disabilities with coursework/exams?

GH is a pain to get into from outside if you have wheels, especially if you don't have an access card for the elevator by the Campus Store (same issue really). So unless you want to go ALL THE WAY around the outside of the building to CNH and up the ramp/through that building, you have to take the elevator in MUSC up to the second floor, go into the second floor of GH and then down in the elevator there to get to the Student Success Centre, Financial Aid, and the Registrar's Office.

BSB requires an elevator access card to get into the building, period.

The crosswalks have been repainted in front of Life Sci so they don't line up to the sidewalk ramps.

Most of the bathrooms don't have accessible door buttons - like the one in the basement of CNH by the old coffee shop or the one closest to the Campus Store are both HUGE bathrooms with accessible stalls but no reasonable way to get in and out of them!

I left the question pretty broad and open ended because I was referring to both physical accessibility as well as accommodation with disabilities.

That isnt really an issue directed at disabled students in wheelchairs. Anyone can have a hard time getting on a mostly full bus. That is the exact same as me saying that i have a hard time getting on a full bus that drives by my stop. Its not the HSR's fault that there are more students that "need" a ride than there are seats.
I just think your point is more generally applicable than it is to the specific disabled population.

Don't miss your appointments then. If you do not need any modifications to your accommodation, there is no reason your sessional appointment should last any more than 15 minutes.

I say this from experience as an accommodated student. My appointment lasted about half an hour this session and that is because I chatted with my co-ordinator for a while. Could have been out in 10 minutes easily.
