Problems on SOLAR
I need to register for Math 1LS3 but I keep getting a message saying I don't have the academic requisites. I have taken Advanced Functions and I'm taking Calculus and Vectors now in summer school. I think the problem is that I don't have the credit yet. How can I fix this? I'll be blocked out of SOLAR by tomorrow so I'm kind of freaking out. What happens if I'm not registered in that course before I'm blocked out? Do I still get another chance later?

Hey LeeAnne,

I would have to agree with you, if your program outlines that calculus is a requisite, then the school will not make this course available to you until you complete it this summer. I would suggest calling the registrars office and asking this exact question. If you cannot get registered in this course before tomorrow you will be able to register in it later; both for a period in August and when school starts in September. This link tells you important solar dates:

Good Luck!

You should contact the math and stats department first, explain your situation and ask for a waiver. You should also mention your mark in the course, even if you haven't completed it. Showing them that you are well on your way to pass the course will help you get a waiver.
