I didn't take chem 1a03 but i took chem 1e03 and chem 1aa3 and from what i can remember there is no "bad prof". I have had Lock and Dumont and both were very good. Laudry has always been the course coordinator and never a prof for me, but he seems to knwo his stuff. he has been known as a mean prof, but he will answer any and all questions.

Prof Goward is very nice, she explains things very slowly and will help you as much as she can. So go for her if u want a nice helpful prof.
I havent had Dr. Landry as my prof so i cannot tell much. But Dr. Landry MIGHT be a better choice since he's usually also the Lab coordinator for the course and if he gets to know well/by name then he MIGHT let u off once or twice if ur late in submitting a lab or something. Not sure if he will do tht for sure, but most profs ive had in first yr were nice.

I suggest you go to each prof's class once and see what teaching style you like best. No one takes attendance so it really doesn't matter which class you're in unless there physically aren't enough seats.
