How to properly dispose of bed comforters/pillows ?
I wanna throw away my bed comforter, pillow, etc. when I move out (staying off-campus) and I'm not sure if they'd collect it if I put it out when they come for the weekly garbage pick up? Can I put them in a bag and write a note that says for donations and put them next to the garbage in front of house?
Please don't tell me about recycling or bringing it somewhere, I don't have a car.
Thanks!

I don't think the garbage truck takes donations, but they have some days where they take extra/unlimited garbage. Definitely try calling the city and asking, or checking their website

I mean, are there any other people/organizations etc. perhaps roaming around looking for garbage donations? Just that If someone else can benefit from it, I rather donate it than throw it away (I'd have kept it, but moving away...) but I don't have the time/means to take it all the way somewhere, as mentioned earlier

I have gotten calls in Burlington from I believe the kidney foundation who come around to collect donations, now that I think of it. Perhaps you could check that out.
