Psych 2c03
I was wondering if anyone could give more detailed information on what this course is about, if it's more of Psych 1X03, 1XX3 or a combination of both.

also, the breakdown of psych 2c03 and the professor that they had would be so helpful.

Thanks so much

Here's a course outline from last year: http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/psy...3_winter09.pdf

It seems the same prof is teaching it so it shouldn't change too much.

It's social psychology so it's more related to some of the info in 1X03. It was a really interesting class and one of my favourite psych classes so far. The outline will tell you all the topics that are covered. The prof (Dr. Ostovich) is a great lecturer and I enjoyed going to the class even though it was a night class.

The class is alot like 1X03 as mentioned. case stories like Kitty's attack and Milgrams experiments share the stage with attraction models and alittle cult culture (though you want beliefs psych for more).

the tests are both short answer and mc. Dr. O plays a greater emphasis on SA though and the mc is mostly out of the text readings- yes you have to read the suggested chapters though psych texts have tended to be the more interesting texts to read.

Dr. O is a really good lecturer and at the break was very willing to talk with students about the material just covered. if enough ask or comment about one thing she may also start with an edifying comment for the class.

the TAs are there to help and are very helpful especially before and after a test- they put out many office hours to answer questions or go over the test with you.
