PSYCH 2N03: Neuropsychology
Can anyone give some opinions on the difficulty, interest, how Dr. Ullal teaches/tests, etc.
Also, whether it would be alright as an elective to take alongside chemistry (preferably not time consuming).
Thanks!

Dr. Ullal's lectures were always interesting and well structured. However, he's pretty hard to understand. So I recommend sitting close to the front and listening the hell up. Also don't worry yourself with trying to write down every little detail he says, listen mostly cuz he tests only on the info on the slides.

As for his tests, they are pure memorization and its both multiple choice and short answer. So you must memorize every slide in hopes of being able to answer the questions. The concepts aren't hard if you review and follow up with the textbook if needed. I really enjoyed his class though, found it really interesting and found the tests okay, it helps to review often that way when it comes time to memorize it doesn't feel so intense.

Would the textbook simply be worthwhile if confused by the lecture material and you need clarification, because from what I've read 10 percent of the questions are taken from it which makes up only a few multiple choice questions. In other words, is it worth getting the textbook for those few questions, ie. are they technical details that go further in depth or excess information that can be deduced logically. So can this class be 12ved simply by attending class and reviewing lecture material.

yup definitely. in my tests he usually did less than 10 percent. def not worth it to do all the readings. unless you need to understand something. you'll be fine for sure without out. I never opened mine.
