Qeiia4t
Is there anyway I can still get the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming For the Top Scholarship?

This is what happened:

On the online OSAP application for Full Time Students it says that you have to apply by July 15 to be considered. But then a separate document says it was June 17.

I am eligible because I have the highest average in my school.

And I could really use the money.

You don't even have to apply for it, I don't think, if you're using OSAP... it just gets given to ya.

Can you post the documents?

And yes, you have to apply for OSAP before a certain deadline to be considered for QEII.

This is what you get when you apply after you login (so you can't link to it)

Declaration and Signatures Pages
You and your spouse or parent(s), if applicable, must sign an OSAP declaration and signature page to indicate that you have read and understand your responsibilities and obligations. This page(s) must be provided before your OSAP funding can be released.

After you submit your OSAP application you will be given the option of printing your declaration and signature page(s) from the website or requesting the ministry to mail them to you.

When to submit
It is very important that you sign and submit your declaration and signature pages as soon as possible in order to allow sufficient time for them to be processed. Do not delay. The completed declaration and signature pages must be submitted before your OSAP funding certificate can be printed by the ministry and forwarded to your financial aid office (or mailed to you if you are studying outside Canada), which can take several weeks. As a reminder, funding certificates will not be released until your study period starts. In addition, there are deadlines by which you must provide the declaration and signature pages or funding will not be released. If you are planning to take a one-term program, the pages must be received by your financial aid office within the first 30 days of your study period. If you are planning to take a two- or three-term program, the pages must be received no later than 90 days before the end of your study period. In order to be considered for the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship, your declaration and signature pages must be received by July 15, 2011.

The second document:

Is there anyway I can appeal their misleading info?

If you haven't applied to OSAP yet then it's too late, the deadline was June 25th in order to be considered for the QEII. If you have already applied for OSAP you should send your declarations now.

Does anyone know what the deadline is for part time students?

Actually, that was the deadline for last year... the deadline for this year was June 17th: https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal/en...PRD003576.html

It's the same, but I believe part time students can only get the basic merit which is 100$ and you have to apply through a separate application from the part-time application.

Probably because tuition and supp fees are a lot less, and they assume if you're only in school part-time then you should also be working. Whether or not that's a valid assumption is completely different, but I think that's the logic behind it.

That's true, it makes sense. Oh well :(
