Questions about Phys 1b03 summer labs
Hi everyone,
I'm taking phys 1b03 this summer, which starts on Tuesday. I have my lab Tues 9-11, but the first lecture isn't until later that day at 1:30pm. Does anyone know if we are expected to prep for the first lab, or if we're supposed to buy a lab manual ahead of time? I'm just a visiting student so I haven't taken a course at Mac before, and I can't seem to find any info on what's expected of us for these labs. Do we just show up at 9am on the first day with nothing?

Any help would be appreciated... Thank you!

Not sure about the lab manual, you have to check with your prof or the course outline. Most likely there is no lab during the first week especially not before your first lecture.
Again, if you wanna make sure, just email your prof or wait until s/he posts the course outline on avenue.

Thank you for replying That actually leads me to my next question - when will my course show up on avenue to learn? Right now it says "no courses". Will it pop up on Tuesday at midnight or something like that?

Yea i am not sure, it depends on the prof.
According to the master timetable, there are 2 profs teaching physics 1b03 this spring. Here are their contact info:
http://www.physics.mcmaster. ca/peo...jat_SMR_h.html
http://www.physics.uoguelph. ca/per...e.php?idx =80

Try to email them and see what they say, or if you are on campus you can just drop by their office on Monday and ask them in person. However, i think emailing them is better because they might be doing research or something.
