I don't understand the stationary-cycle-bike -> aids link?
If you... raced on the bike, and did something with the amount of effort people put in to the riding (i.e. have one group continually biking on the same session and try to get the highest distance that would be interesting)..

Or if the bikes was hooked up to a Power Generator which is connected to Computers that is connected to [email protected] server.

Cycling would create power which then power the computers that is helping doing the whole research.

PS: Yes, you may take this idea.

I think it's essentially for fun, but there was some kind of competition aspect last year I believe (I wasn't part of it last year, sorry) and may be again this year. It's kind if like the Relay for Life in terms of the general idea.
