Hey all......

So I was in Dr. Young's SOC 2S06 class today in MDCL 1105....and half-way through lecture, a bunch of male students walk in from the back door (I was sitting at the very back), come down the staris, and exit through the doors on the left-hand side of the chalkboard....what the hell?!?!?!? Why did this occur? Could anybody tell me...

All of these guys had their pinky up in the air, one was wearing an engineering-leather jacket, and the others all dressed in formal clothing....

EXPLAIN!!! It was sooooo funny......and RANDOM!!!!

Kipling. Engineers graduating and do pranks all over campus hence the weird setups today.

They always do weird/cool stuff around this time of the year. I took this pic last year:

They had their pinkies in the air because at Kipling, they get their engineering ring, which is worn on the pinkie. The ring is symbolic and all engineers get one upon graduation. (Although technically it's before they graduate)

Would this be an appropriate time to bash engineers?

...No, just kidding! Love those engineers...I mean, they build buildings...like schools...and hospitals...and bridges...and they build computers and things, too...without them, we'd just be left to the mercy of carpenters, architects, computer science nerds, and Bill Gates. Heaven forbid.
