Reading Week
Can anyone tell me how much work you typically have to do during reading week. I'm thinking about going away then, but I don't want to go away if I have to spend my whole vacation working.

for a second there, i thought this thread was about getting a petition for us to have a fall reading week like all colleges do... next week :(

but as for spring break, it depends what classes you are in. most of them you will find will have midterms the week right before it so that you wont have to worry about work. profs expect that we're not gonna do much work, so only the mean ones will actually give you work to do, but if you dont do it anyways you will probably still be in the majority

Actually, I've had a midterm the Monday afternoon the day after reading week.

So it really depends. Typically, you end up with more work in upper years (or can spend the week catching up) than you would as a first year.
