Really ridiculously atrociously stoopid.
Hi, what's a "reading?" :(
Profs and upper years always say "do your readings and you'll ace the tests".... Is it the text book of a course? Or the profs' notes?

Readings = assigned readings. They might be from a textbook or might not be, depending on the course.

Really though, it depends on the course (and the person) whether or not doing the readings is beneficial. I rarely if ever did the readings for my courses and I did just fine.

I get confused b/c the prof that says this the most doesn't even give assigned readings from our txtbk. I guess I just read whatever coincides with her lectures . Thanks for the help though!

It never hurts to do the readings. At least for me it helps me understand the concepts a little better. It may seem like a bit of work, but I think it's worth it.

Even though she doesn't state the readings in class, they are probably listed for each week in your course outline. This has been the case for every course I've taken at McMaster so far.
