Registering for courses
In September I'll be starting my 3rd year at mac but I'm switching into Humanities from Life Sci and I'll be going into first year humanities (general humanities) and so I need to choose 1st yr humanities courses. I am confused as whether I'm going to register for courses when Level III registration opens or level I. For example, would I be able to register for 1st yr courses when Level III registration opens up (meaning for students in 3rd yr) or would I have to wait for Level I (1st yr students) registration opens up to choose first yr humanities courses?

It depends what year SOLAR thinks you are in. If you are registering in Level 1 Humanities, you won't be allowed to register until that date. If you're registering in Level 3 of Humanities or Life Sci, you'd register on that date.

Students registering in 3rd year will still be able to add first-year courses, even though the first-year registration dates haven't started yet, however a certain percentage of the seats is usually reserved for first-years specifically.

we wont be able to give you a concrete answer because it's such a unique situation. I would call/email the humanities department.

These are the dates solar opens up for everyone, but its best to email and confirm if it opens for you with the first year students or third year
