reinstatement
Hi I am a student at Mac from year 2005-2006 academic session and failed badly. I have taken Athabasca courses and was inconsistent. Genetics with C, psychology B+ and 4 other failed courses. (I took all 4 at the same time in hopes that it will lead to better chance of reinstatement but with work and everything I didnt finish on time) so I went to Mohawk college for biotechnology technician program just last year and had 85 average for the whole year. and now I am trying to apply to B.Tech program (biotechnology). What are the chance of me getting in? I also volunteered 50+ hours.

Pretty good. I've never heard of BTech denying anybody to be honest.

Well, typically B-Tech takes in anyone who fails out of engineering. So if they're willing to take eng failures, I think it would be right to assume they'd easily take someone with an 85% from college.

I know there is a guy in B-tech who roams these forums. Perhaps he can provide more input.

B.tech program gives college diploma and university degrees so it would be pointless for them to make me finish college diploma ( 2 year program) especially if I got 85 at 1st year of program, right?

I am going to state everything to calculate percentage of chance to be reinstated.
1.3 CA at Mac
Athabasca university (online course)
- C in Genetics
- B+ intro psych
- 5 Fails (poor plan. i took 4 courses at the same time with work and time management fell apart)
- mohawk college (biotechnology technician program 1st year of 2 year program) just last year and had 85 GPA.
- 50+ volunteering hours.

this to try reinstatement at B.Tech program.

Your best bet is to call McMaster and ask to be put through to your faculty's academic advisors.

905 525 9140 0 for operator, and ask them to put you through.

Let them know how you did and your chances of being reinstated.

Good luck.
