required course already taken
I am in software and management engineering, and am going into year two. In my first year I took econ 1bb3 "macro economics" as an elective, but now in level 2 this is a required course. Im pretty sure there are a minimum number of credits to graduate and so I must take a course to replace econ 1bb3 this year. My question is: what can I take? can I only choose a course from the complimentary electives list or can I take whatever I want? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Something tells me that you have to choose from this list...

But also note: "Substitutions, either taken at McMaster
University or elsewhere on a Letter of Permission, require the approval of Associate Dean (Academic) of Engineering."

So if you are interested in a course not on the list, try contacting the Associate Dean of Engineering for approval.

Hey thanks for the fast reply. I figured that was the case, guh. I've enrolled in an approved elective in second semester, which should give me time to work things out.

Yeah, the fastest way would be to call the Associate Dean: 905-525-9140 ext 24646. When you get the automated voice just dial the extension.
