3-5 ft, or 3.5 feet? there is a HUGE difference.

i can't really tell you. i didn't live in brandon or go visit people there too often. if you're not going to Welcome Day on friday, ask in the Brandon thread.

Thanks for this list - it's extremely helpful! About the laundry machines though - I heard that some accept ONLY quarters. (But my source may be outdated). Do you know if they all accept loonies?

every machine i ever used/fought with accepted both.

and an additional tip for drying: put in $1.50 and your stuff will be dry; otherwise you have to put in another $1.25 when the load stops.

macgirl2009, quresmu, resh.jyoti all say thanks to lorend for this post.

Hey i have a laptop and i was looking into buying a new laptop bag for next year in which i could also carry around my notebooks and stuff for class. I just wanted to know: how big of a backpack do i actually need for uni? My highschool one was enormous but then again i wasnt living on res in so yeah... any advice? thanks in advance!

Well, it depends on your schedule/how you're organizing your notes (if you are taking any).

When I lived in res, I would only take the notebooks for the classes I was going to, so I rarely needed a large bag. It is also common for people to just carry around a clipboard for all of their notes. If you plan on not going back to res, and carring multiple notebooks and possibly a textbook, you'll need a larger bag.

My backpack right now is pretty small; but the largest amount of classes I have in a row is two, so I don't need to bring much to school, even tho I live off campus.

Yup. The only reason I mentioned the ANDY unit was because it was the only image I could find!

Does anyone know if the rental fridges are decent (not too noisy, etc) or is it better to invest in a new one?
