I think it's around 2GB/day
if you go over that limit, they throttle it to around 1-2mbps I believe...or was it less?
anway, you can solve that by changing/spoofing your MAC address but you can only register 3 MACs with McMaster. (that includes computers connected to MacConnect, but not phones).
so if you want to use MacConnect (wifi) then you have only 1 extra MAC.

When I was there it was a 2GB limit per day. If you go over it, they throttle you for 24 hours. It's only happened to me once, it was ridiculously slow the next day.

Same.
Basically your internet becomes unusable the next day.
Protip: If you really wanna download a bunch of shit do it on Thursday/Friday before you go home for a weekend.
It happened to be me once but I happened to be going home in an hour or so after I found out what happened so I was like whatevs.

Or just use DC++ to download everything and don't worry about it.
I only went over the one time because I just forgot about the limit and downloaded this huge file for a foreign show not on DC++.

there is a good chance there isn't a limit yet so far this year. It usually starts when there are a lot of chronic downloaders, and that hasn't happened yet. If they put up the limit they'll slow down your downloads but you'll still be able to use internet for mac stuff etc.

When I was in res there was a 2GB limit for the first part of the year, and then I noticed that sometime around second term it disappeared. I was able to download over 10GB in a day. My roommate took advantage of that and was always downloading.

LOL I was reading this entire thing going "WTF is everyone talking about, there's no freaking limit.... o.O" because around the start of second term I was downloading constantly - it was literally on a waiting list - one was done the next one started, and the list was like 100 GB deep. This explains it.... .

I noticed that too. First semester, I'd expect to get throttled the day after an arsenal game (since I would stream it live) and then second semester it stopped! I had 3 champions league quarter finals going at the same time once with the 4th on tv
