School on Easter Monday?
I had just assumed that Easter Weekend was a 4 day long weekend because thats what it always was in elementary and high school.

But I heard we only get Friday off at Mac? Is that right?

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are mandatory national holidays. Easter Monday is not. Only governmental workers and teachers get that day off.

Meh, these two days aren't as big of a deal to me at least. When I was in first year I also had a final exam on Easter Monday...I didn' t go home that year for sure.

The previous three years we went back to school following the holiday break a week later than most post-secondary insitutions, as well as a lot of secondary and primary schools. When I was in second year we came back on the 2nd of January, if my memory stands.

I guess that means that the teachers don't get to take easter monday off either, because they are not grade school teachers.. That's a shame.

no landonRinek. It's a school day, thus the University is open and there are classes to attend.

magnolia, Chad means vacation as in away from school...which we are free from for four months.

@magnolia,

heh, well yes, by vacation I meant away from school, exams, homework, essays, tests, and projects but I'm just like you, I'll be working all summer and thus won't be in the Bahama's on a beach being lazy. However, I see work as a vacation over stressful school!
