To dye my hair red I bleached it then dyed. I have black hair, so I know from experience that just plopping the dye on without bleaching does nothing. The bleach only took my hair to a colour similar to yours now, but when I dyed the red showed up just fine. I used Feria, so this might not be true for other brands.

Like everyone said in this thread, why hide your face? I mean, if I dyed my hair white + my facial features, i would look like an asian guy who has cancer but if i dyed it blonde, I would look metrosexual, so it really depends on how well it compliments your facial features.
ps: dude, do you still want my psych notes? i wanna put it in good use, not just sit there in my computer forever
