Skateboarders at Mac
Hi guys,

I don't know if it is just me or is there an increase in skateboarders this school year? Not like there is anything wrong with it. It kind of reminded me of high school, except the skateboarders at Mac are way nicer than the ones in high school.
I'm just really curious cause I've been at mac for a couple of years and I have rarely seen people skateboarding.

Can someone please tell me the reason behind this.

So who knows the reason behind this phenomenon besides lower admission rates?

I was noticing that as well... and I'm referring to skateboarders, not longboarders. I was always surprised by the lack of skateboarders here. I've probably seen more this year than I have in my first 2 years at Mac.

Not that I'm complaining though. Skateboarders are hot.

I used to skate on campus until I got banned lol. There are a ton of good spots, but we just always get kicked out so it's not worth it. City Hall downtown is an amazing spot though.

I've honestly seen only 2 skateboards thus far on campus. I have however seen a ridiculous number of longboards. The reason why longboards have gotten so popular is that that they require no skill to use and they go really fast with little to no effort being put in. As far as speed goes a bike loses to a longboard on campus.

I've seen a lot more longboards lately, but the same about amount of skateboards. (longboards are pretty much used for transportation, skateboards are usually used for tricks)

And rollerblades are used like shoes.

I speak from experience.
