Snow Day

It's Official. Go back to sleep.

Just when we thought Mac had no heart and we were preparing to go back to school today...

McMaster has announced that it will be closed ALL DAY today. We phoned them up a few hours ago and were able to get through to confirm. Finally, they followed suit with the many other school boards that confirmed school closure last night!

You can also view this closure announcement on K-Lite FM: click here.
Quote:
-MCMASTER UNIVERSITY IS CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.
Update: McMaster's website is no longer working due to the increase in traffic from people trying to get this news!

Sucks that the McMaster website goes down every time there is a snow day. (It did the same thing last snow day)

Tens of thousands of people rely on the university website, and it goes down due to traffic problems....A university with such a large capacity should have expensive load-balancing servers with multiple connections + backup lines.

These are such important news items that need to be delivered because people will spend a lot of time trying to dig out their car as well as risk their lives on the road getting to mac..only to find out it's closed down!

PS: This is where our club comes in...delivering the news that McMaster sometimes can't.
