Its about getting people home earlier rather than later in case it gets worse and not putting extra bodies onto campus as well.

Tough call. It says "classes," but doesn't mention that. Has your professor posted anything about it? You could call the registrar's office and ask if the cancellation applies to tests.

"McMaster remains open this afternoon, however all classes scheduled to begin at or after 5:30 p.m. on March 23, including classes on McMaster's main campus, continuing education classes scheduled to be held at the Downtown Centre and classes scheduled for the Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington, have been cancelled."

Nope, I've been button-mashing F5 on Daily News, MI, and Avenue..
