Yeah, McMaster has definitely closed for snow days before. Just pay attention to the McMaster website for updates.

Did no other faculties receive potential snow day emails?

Can't they also announce closure near noon too? (professor said so today, allows the university to get full day's funding that way)

Organic chem midterm at 7pm and even though I'm gonna hate the postponed date, I hope they cancel so I don't have to suffer getting home. Sucks so much for commuters.

I think it depends on the situation. They're *supposed* to cancel it by 5:30am so people don't risk their lives trying to get to campus only to arrive and find it closed. I think if they closed it at noon, it would have to be because the weather changed and got a lot more dangerous, and it would likely only apply to evening events.

It might be worth seeing if you can stay at a friend's house overnight if they do have the midterm, but hopefully by tomorrow evening the snowplows will have cleared most of the major roads.

This lists the fastest sources. It will probably be somewhere on the homepage of dailynews.
