It was REALLY foggy in Stoney Creek last night, we couldn't even see our neighbour's house from our porch!! And then The Mist was on TV. Very creepy!

I love the smell of the air when it's foggy. It's so fresh and clean and invigorating.

Technical point: HID's aren't yellow Some fog lights are. HID lights are either super white (4300K colour temperature) all the way up to stupid stupid stupid purple-pink (10,000K+). Which by the way, the higher/bluer the color temperature, the poorer your headlight performance.

While on the topic of fog, and since we're in Automotive and Transportation:

IF IT'S FOGGY, TURN ON YOUR FULL HEADLIGHT SYSTEM

AND DON'T USE YOUR HIGH BEAMS, DOING SO MAKES IT WORSE

I was astounded this week at how many people didn't know that.

As an addendum to this, figure out if your car has fog lights. They definitely make a difference!

Yes, fog lights definitely can help. Though mine are useless cause GM decided to place them high and in the middle of the front bumper. To be usefull they gotta be low and at the corners, casting a wide, low-aimed beam.

I actually have one of these in the driveway at home, my brother has a 2004 model. The yellow fogs are a conventional H3 bulb. Not HID. The low-beam headlights are a reflector-type HID.

Second-generation (2006+ IS250/350) are a 9006 style bulb for the fogs. Not HID.
