Has anyone taken SOC SCI 2Q03 with Dr. Penner?
I want to get an idea of what the syllabus is like and if the course material is hard.
Thanks!

I took a different course with him and he is excellent - I would love to take more courses taught by him. Also, he looks like Lucius Malfoy (or at least, he did when I had him).

Dr. Penner is amazing! One of my favourite profs, take as many courses with him as you can!

I'm taking this prof in 4th year at Mac and I'm sad I didn't find him sooner! By far the most real and fun prof I have ever had.
I am in the class of 2P03. Its very chill and interesting due to his teaching style, there are 4 reflections each worth 15% = 60%. The reflections want you to choose a question out of 4. The questions are very simple and more opinion based rather than just repeating from readings and his lecture. This prof wants to know YOUR opinion. And the rest of the mark is 40% take home exam. He also ends class at 9 instead of 10.
You can google the course outline by putting in Penner 2P03 2014 (I am not able to attach the pdf)
Hope it helps!

I had him for a class first year, and honestly I can say he's one of the chillest profs. By that I mean he's very understanding. I wouldn't say his marking is easy though, it's fair. But yeah, honestly, one of the best profs I've had.
