Social Work and Labour Studies
Well I took these two courses instead of Psych because biology isnt my strength, I have not heard much about them is it because they suck or just have classes kept to a minimum. Is it more discussion and communication based?

hey are you doing social work and labour studies in the BSW/Ba program? If so can you tell me how you like because I am thinking of doing the exact same thing.

I'm taking Labour Studies 1C03 with Prof. Sam Ladner right now and I LOVE IT. The material is interesting, though I can see how a prof can make it incredibly boring. In 1C03 we talk about different styles of managing a business (Scientific Management, Marxism, Smith's theories, etc), good jobs/bad jobs. the effect of work on women, etc.

really? And how is the marking...what are you marked on? And one last thing do you think that this would be a good addition to Social Work?

I don't have the exact breakdown on me, but it's about 10-15% tutorial participation (which is easy -- you just talk about the course, really lol). midterm, essay and final exam.
I think Labour Studies would go well very well with social work The class talks very heavily about the effect work has on people.
