Because his failures DO outweigh his accomplishments. If he was legimitately a good actor, he wouldn't have so many failures. Then failures are on him, not because of a movie's plot being bad (-insert any other reason here-)

He's a one faced actor. Just like Keanu Reeves and Jason Statham (just as examples)

Really? Because if we was one faced his characters from The Weather Man and Adaptation seem pretty different from his characters in this and Kick Ass.

Also, Kick Ass looks... well... Kick Ass.

macculkin, moops like this.

or any of the other articles of him on cracked. Nicholas Cage has had so many misses now that I pretty much refuse to watch his movies just in case.

Anyhoozle, back on to le topic, when I read the title I got super pumped because for some reason I thought it said Magician's Apprentice (badass series of books, until the author massacred it by milking it too much.) Then I saw what it actually was :( Not gonna watch.

Ugh...Jason Statham. I honest to god hate that guy. His acting is just terrible...and he can pretty much do only like 1 thing.

Back to the original post...the movie doesnt look that bad. Im just hoping the special effects make up for the poor plot which I assume is inevitable.

I got no issues with one trick ponies...as long as they stick to what they are good at (unlike Nicholas Cage)

Not their fault though. Actors obviously get type cast and for many its hard for them to find other roles. Jason Statham included.

Regardless, I'll probably be watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice in theatres.

When I saw National Treasure (and sequel) all I could think of is how the Nazi's wanted to oust Christianity's stories and replace them with epic "true German" stories. It seems like "America" was replacing its current christian mythos with glamorized versions of it's history spun into a fantastical story.

Now I am not commenting on the quality of either, just saying it made me feel like I was watching the American bible.

Plus the product placement in the movies was funny.

I remember watching the first one as a field trip for American History class in grade 8 ( I was in the US at the time), the movie does have some historical correctness
