which card do you have??

I just helped a guy during my shift as an SC pick out a new card for his quad core 2.8 / 3Gb ram HP retail desktop, it had a nvidia 8400/8600 i think.

He was eagar for a new card and he was looking on Futureshop.ca with a budget of <100$... so I gave him directions to CanadaComputers in Hamilton instead and suggested a ATI HD 5570. Figure on his 23" LCD he should be able to play on high, What do you think??

Thats a budget card - probably will not be able to run sc2 on ultra maybe high but with alot of units probably not..

I upgraded my video card today, returned my 9800gtx+ and bought a GTX260. It's crazy powerful

Been too busy lately to try the SC2 beta. I have an 8800 GTS with an Intel e4400 and 4 GB of RAM with 800 MHz bus speed. Should that be good enough to run it on high settings? lol

8800 GTS is a decent card, should run it fine. The guy got back to me in regards to the 5570 and it plays on high with some settings on ultra... so a nice surprise...

Im going to try the beta tonight on my laptop x1600, dual core TL-52 1.6 ghz and my desktop 4850/dual 3.5 ghz and let you know how it turns out.

laptop on LOW settings @ 1280x800 res, did 40-45 fps on average, hope i can do medium with 2gz Tl-60 im upgrading to later this month.
desktop on ULTRA settings @ 1680x1050 res did 45-50 fps on average.

forgot to mention, laptop has 2 Gb ddr2-667, desktop has 4gb ddr2-1000
The game looks really good on ultra compared to low, cant wait for the campaign to be released.
