Stats 2MB3 tutorial and Math 3FF3 lecture conflict
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether Stats 2MB3 tutorials are mandatory or if anyone found them to be useful. I decided sort of late that I want to take upper year stats courses that require 2MB3, so I'll only be taking it now in the second term of my third year. At the same time, It would be nice if I didn't have to postpone math 3FF3 till next year second semester (one of the 3FF3 lectures overlaps with the 2MB3 tutorial this year). Would it be unwise to take these courses at the same time with the conflict there? Thanks.

Dunno about stats, but at worst you won't be in too much difficulty if you just skip that 3FF3 lecture.

3FF3 is all about solving PDEs, so is easier to make up from reading the text than, say, 3EE3 or 3T03. Anyway, one lecture a week is not a big deal.

Agreed, its really boring to watch solving some high order ODE via undetermined coefficients with 3-4 arguments, so I assume some analogous PDE is probably even worse. However, every tutorial I had were in general useless.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll stay registered in both and see how things go. And although you're right about it being relatively easier to catch up on my own if i miss occasional 3FF3 lectures, hopefully it doesn't come to that cuz Dr. Alama's notes were amazing for 2X03 so he'll probably make it more straight forward than a textbook would :p But if anything I can also ask someone in the class for notes if I absolutely have to go to a tutorial
