I've never heard this before.

And after three years of helping move-in I can tell you that I've seen plenty of stuffed animals.

You're also encouraged to bring mementos from home...so I sort of doubt you wouldn't be allowed.

Items NOT to Bring
Some of this may be common sense, some of it may not be. I am positive that this is not a complete list.

1. Weapons
2. Incense
3. Candles
4. Pets of any kind
5. Power tools
6. Board games (I recommend you don’t, anyway, because this will just take up space, and they should have some in the rec room or house office)
7. Again, your stuffed animal collection.
8. Sun lamps (for tanning).
9. An air conditioner.

This is part of one of the..threads...

I think that saying "don't bring your stuffed animal collection" is not exactly the same as "don't bring stuffed animals." The author of that article probably was saying there isn't going to be any room for it... so don't bring it. One of two stuffed animals easily fit on your bed; twenty or thirty stuffed animals will only be a hassle to you and your roommate.

And from that article... it does not seem like author went to McMaster... it almost seems like he/she went to a school in the States.

jag6232 is right. the tips on the site didn't come from anyone on the MacInsiders team, or anyone who goes or went to Mac; it was found on a website somewhere elsewhere.

Again, to re-iterate, stuffed animals = okay. stuffed animal zoo = not okay.

My room mate had so many stuffed bunnies that they took up most of her bed. I didn't care though because at night she put them on her desk, not the floor.

Sooo many bunnies...
