It really irritated me when I was a CA and people would say "Mannn so-and so had a loud party and woke me up and the CA's did nothing" etc. I'm not a mind reader, I don't instinctively know when people are having roommate issues. Talk to them again, and explain the extent of the problem. Show them this MacInsiders thread. Talk to any other CA in your building. Stand outside your Res managers office until they deal with this.
You really do deserve a better res experinece than this.

Well, you also have to be realistic. In my first year I saw people run crying to my CAs, begging for a room chnage, threatening everything from calling their parents to withdrawing from university, because (I kid you not) they couldn't handle the fact that their roommate ate strong smelling food. I didn't even know what to say.
I'm not trying to trivialize your res experience and the OP really does sound like they have a sucky sucky situation, but I have a hard time believe that any CA would really brush aside a problem unless they truly believed that you should be able to handle it yourself. Any one of the CAs I've known would have at least brought it to the attention of a Res Manager, aftre multiple complaints.
If not, well you had shitty CAs. I'd like to believe that they're not the norm.

Yeah I can say my CA is not the norm , she has not handled anything well , she admits she is scared of my room mate thats how bad it is . I have not cried I have been reasonable. My roommate gave me a bedtime, uses my garbage can , has their friend use my desk constantly even throwing my toothbrush on the floor. They have admitted to being jealous . My CA is scared , that means it is bad.
the examples are the ones i can write without them figuring it out I would write more but then it would get obvious
