A few of my friends required a suit for presentations in their first year of Engineering.

My friends in Eng needed suits for a presentation as Humza said, and I would assume commerce could need them as well.

First year Commerce you can get away with business casual. If you have a dress shirt and dress pants that should be fine for the one presentation Cossa will require of you.

Some people just wore their prom shit, lol.

But as for clubs, events, etc. if you're actually going to be active some may/probably will require a suit.

When I saw the Title - I thought you might be referring to the Series, Lol.

I did see on occasion some people wearing Suits (dress pants, shirt + tie) while roaming the campus - as people are suggesting, probably for presentations. And then maybe for formal events that happen earlier in the year (dress pants + shirt.. i'd lose the tie then).

Bring your suit - it'll come in handy for any presentations, or interviews you may have.

Bring your suit for sure. There are always formals you can attend as well as possible job interviews.

As for the engineers that wore suits for their 1P03 presentations...dress code was business CASUAL (unless things have changed the last few years). Somehow every year 3/4 of people wear formal though...

I don't think a suit jacket is entirely necessary.
You should probably have a few ties though.
