McWork makes it sound so...bad. Fortunately, though it's a great opportunity!

I have been a part of the McWork program before. It basically allows you to work at McMaster over the summer, and there are plenty of great opportunities for you depending on what department you're interested in.

Established in 1996 by the University with the goal of creating meaningful employment opportunities for current students who demonstrate financial need. To be eligible for consideration, students must be approved for the Summer Work Program through the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships.
The Summer Work Program (McWork) provides full-time and part-time, on-campus summer jobs for current, full-time eligible undergraduate, School of Medicine or Mohawk Nursing Consortium students who are returning to McMaster in the fall to continue in their program. McWork also provides part-time employment to eligible out-of-province students during the fall/winter study period.
