Are you trying to use it for a student research project? If so, you shouldn't actually use surveymonkey because as far as I know, they don't guarantee their data will be stored on Canadian servers. This becomes an issue for participant privacy and the research ethics board recommend canadian-hosted tools.
There's a free open-source tool called LimeSurvey that the McMaster Research Ethics board recommends using. It offers much of the same capabilities as survey monkey and the data is stored on McMaster's servers. You can get in touch with Michael from the MREB office to have an account set up.
