Sustainability Panel Discussion – “Are we making a difference?”
The McMaster Residence Green Team will be hosting a panel discussion on the sustainability of service-learning experiences. These experiences encompass volunteer trips taken by individuals from developed nations to different impoverished societies around the world. We thought it would be valuable to examine the broader social, economic, and environmental impacts of these trips. Further discussions include which forms of service are the most sustainable to the impacted community and the individuals that choose to partake in such experiences.
A wide range of McMaster staff and faculty, such as Adam Kuhn, MaureenPadden, Pat Chow-Fraser and Nancy Doubleday, will be present in the panel.
It will be held on March 27th, 2013 at 7pm in the Council Chambers (Gilmour Hall, room111)
