Of course they are...low taxes doesn't mean more money in your pocket. It means less in the government's coffers and more in the corporation's. Yummm

If I could live anywhere on Earth, it'd be in Switzerland.

I know, that's so sad :(. I do like the no-tax law though

Lots of people do too, especially the race-car drivers. Plenty of F1 and WRC drivers live in Switzerland.
Also, if you do go to Zurich, a bus-ticket is pretty good for getting around. I'm not sure if the prices have raised, but the ticket is generally 4 CHF (approximately $4.10-ish CDN) which you buy in machines near bus stops. A better deal would be getting a all day pass for 8 CHF, which you can use to board buses, trams, trains, and river boats in the city.
Also, don't even think about renting a car and driving around.

Would you be staying an extra 6 months then, Greg?

Pssh, who cares about chocolate. I'm surprised nobody has brought up all their delicious pharmaceuticals.

Well, you also make a lot more money in Switzerland than you would at a comparable job in Canada. My uncle who lives there plays the system well; He rents a French villa (buying property there is dumb), drives two fancy BMWs and sits on his $500,000 swiss franc salary taxed @ 5-8%.
You may think "Corporations = evil lol" now, but wait until you are in the working world and are hired at those corporations who are paying you your salary. Then we'll see if you'd still prefer for them to not have as much money (meaning YOU won't be paid as well).

Nah, I'm not doing the Commerce Internship Program; I don't want to delay my graduation. I just mean I'm going to apply on my own for a summer internship there.

Not if you're a politician, leaching the lifeblood from the system that is paid into by the shmucks that get jobs with corporations
Yeah, I don't play to win...
I just play.

Wow really?! So they make up for the no-tax thing, by raising prices.. Hmm, I don't know which one is better..

I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't remember the brand though. But I remember the chocolate. It's soooooooooooooo good.

There is a wicked one in red packaging called Frigor which is hazelnut chocolate. That stuff was so addictive, and ruined me when I was over in Geneva working at the UN. Switzerland by far is the best country.
Also Temara! You need to go to Gruyere! they have a wicked museum of the guy who did the drawings and stuff for the Aliens series! So cool, and who can resist the cheese from there?! not me!
