Teaching Awards - Nomination Period Closing This Wednesday!

Nomination period for first semester closes this Wednesday so get your forms in!!

There are those profs who go above and beyond to ensure that we as students get the best possible education? Have you ever wanted to recognize these individuals for their work? Show your appreciation? Thank them for their help? Teaching awards can do just that.

How long after the nomination period till the results are announced? Couple weeks?

There are two rounds of nominations, one for each semester. Then there is an awards ceremony in March with free food.

What we are doing is getting the nominations, tallying up how many there are for each prof. Then, for the highest ranking profs, we're going to either hand out evaluations to the class or run evals ourselves, which will then ultimately determine the best prof in each faculty.

So, make sure you nominate them! YAY!

How does that work with really small classes/programs? Wouldn't those profs be completely under-represented?

Hey Temara, whatever happened with the teaching nominations? I checked the MSU website but I couldn't find anything.

The nomination period for first semester is over now so that's why the form is down.

Second semester nominations start in early february or so..
