Is there a way of buying the mastering chem access code separately?

How can I get the code without buying the full textbook package?

The McMaster Campus Store sells them separately. You can just ask any of the workers and they'll sell you a Mastering Chem package with an access code ($50 I believe?)

You can also use the same code for both semesters. I've said this on another post before but use mastering chem as practice not for the extra 3% learn from it!

The code actually lasts for 2 years. I'm not sure what the procedure is about used codes but I think the prof sorts that out (I remember someone in class asked prof that cause friend gave code).

The price to buy a used text book + mastering chem ~ buying new chem with code. Mastering chem is useful

There is a way but its from their website for 50 dollars. I think its much more economically efficient to buy both the code and textbook from the bookstore new. I only recommend doing this for this course ONLY (first year chems). Masterchem in my opinion is decently helpful, but the real dealbreaker is the 3 free percent. Honestly, you might think its not much but it could very well be the difference that puts you in the next grade point.

Just FYI, I never used it even once.
There were no marks associated with it, and everything was done on avenue

Chem 1A03 and 1AA3 have marks associated with it. And it is way cheaper to buy a used textbook (you could even get away with not using the textbook) and the code online.

Lightsms seems to be in engineering, so he would have taken chem 1E03. I'm unsure about their marking scheme, but it seems as though Mastering Chem wasn't worth marks for them.

For chem 1A03/1AA3 however, they WERE worth marks/

The marking scheme for chem 1e03 had alternate weighting schemes. If you didn't opt for the mastering chem your midterm is worth more.
