i think i am failing Math 2Z03...
just did 2z03 exam last night, i think i am failing it.
i was so stupid to believe some rumor that the most part of exam will be on chapter 4 and 5...
didn't put too much effort on the previous chapters..

i will need a passing mark in the exam to pass the course since i defered one of the midterm.
now i really doubt if i can get 50% on the exam

my question is, will the prof bell curve? i heard this course curved every year.
but this year they kinda changed the tests and exam, we have both MC and written question (which suppose to be easier, but not)
we also have web assignments worth 10%, should be free mark, but i did but on it.

oh, we have Dr.Gabardo...

If the average is low he'll curve it. Did that last year for 2zz3

Well they don't curve any courses as far as I know, but they do sometimes add marks to the class...

A curve will probably happen, but will that be even enough to help you pass??? Dun dun dun...

We can tell you he's likely to curve, but that won't make you feel better or solve any problems at all... In the end, we don't know where the average is, or how high he wants the average to be AFTER a curve, nor do we know where you would place in that curve.

there will be a curve.. but because z03 is offered in the summer Garbardo is quite entitled to fail a fairly large number of people. Encouraged probably (more $). What matters is how well you did in comparison to your peers.

I do know one thing: the prof lied through his face by telling us that 17/22 or most of it would be on 4 and 5 which was total bs. They better be bell curving or they are not gonna be having a good average at all. They bell curved in the summer and last year so I am pretty sure they would this year as well.

No, I don't know where he dreamed that up, but I highly doubt anyone would find that to be an acceptable practice. If they did that and anyone found out, heads would roll. So I highly doubt that occurs.

Maybe I'm too trusting, but I have a little bit of faith in the Eng. faculty's ethics.

It's not the Eng faculty though. It's the math department. And math department ethics and practices are whack...
