Tim Hortons
So, Dr. Kajiura told us today about someone who won the $10 000 prize in Roll up the Rim (Tim Hortons) in MDCL. Did anyone else hear about that by any chance? And really, what are the odds?! I just might start going to the Timmies in MDCL now XD.

I haven't taken Stats since grade 12 Data, but isn't it even more unlikely the same Tims will have two grand prize winning cups? =p

I haven't heard of anyone winning, but I'd imagine lots of jumping and squealing.

Haha, I can dream can't I ?! Yeah, I can only imagine! I wonder if it was a student or a faculty member.. or even one of the visiting high school students !

I would think not considering they don't even accept the gift cards...I would just email Hospitality Services. They got back to me about gift certificates within a day (they do accept gift certificates by the way).

That's awesome.

The most I've ever won was a $100 Tim Card last year. That was cool, it was only my second cup that season.

This year out of 5 cups, I've won a coffee and donut in the same day! Then I won $10 from a lottery scratch card that night. XD. I'm pretty lucky with this stuff.

1 for 10 here. The official odds say 1 in 9 on the cup, so I can't complain.

I'm about 0 in 20 this year... Also one time a couple years ago my friend snagged most of a whole stack of large cups at one of the self-serve locations and out of around 20 or so cups not one winner! I'm sure at the end of the day its a fair contest, but I would think it would be in Tim's interest to stack the winners into the size of cup least bought. (ie. I think the lowest winning rims are to be found on the large size cups) that way they stand a chance of never giving out the prizes... I wonder if there are stats out for prizes vs size or how many do they release per week, etc. Maybe they hold off until their last shipment too, who knows? Maybe I'm just angry that I haven't won in about 20 coffees :S:S
