I think they put more than required salt everywhere at Mac. It's more like you're walking on a layer of salt ha!

Better safe than sorry. When the temperatures hit -15 celcius at night the last thing you want is a lawsuit on your hand when someone breaks something from slipping on ice. It's especially bad right now since during the day time everything melts but during night time everything freezes.

It's not a big deal. It's better they salt it too much than too little. And hey, don't you think they pepper it too much as well?

It's just Mac's way of telling you that your designer shoes are a total waste of money.

In all seriousness it's because some people slipped and fell and sued Mac under the premise that they were negligent in their duties of keeping all pathways well salted and safe for travel.

I'd rather have lots of salt on the ground I have sliped on ice and landed right on to my back before, it hurt a lot (this did not happen at mac though).

How could that be the case when the people that serve the potentially salty food are too busy walking around outside...

On the salt!

I agree way to much salt on the roads, this past Friday when I left after spending a few hours in Thode, I looked at the road and thought it had snowed some more. But, no, it was salt.
